In this work, we center the body and the nervous system as anchors in our healing and personal growth. I help people who want to spend less time living in survival mode and are ready to shed the accumulated lifetime of stress and conditioning and come back home to their bodies.
We work together to help your system learn to regulate and feel more safe, and to release whatever has been stored up that is not serving you any longer.
By prioritizing compassionate listening and care, we can help your system unwind from long-held patterns of stress, disconnection, and chronic fight/flight/freeze/fawn states while building pathways for ease, resilience, joy, and connection.
Sessions are available in-person in Frederick, MD or online anywhere in the world.

1:1 Somatic Coaching
Please note: This work offers the most value if done consistently over a period of time. I usually recommend meeting every 1-3 weeks for a period of at least a few months in order to see significant change as healing & nervous system regulation take time. If this is not possible for you due to financial reasons, meeting less often can still be very helpful and I am happy to discuss whether it would still be a good fit for you.
Please note my policies:
My current rate is $150 for a 60 minute session. For online sessions, I accept credit card. For in-person sessions, I accept cash or check for payment. I have moved away from accepting credit cards because of fees. I require that clients give me a credit card number to keep on file for use in case of no-shows or late cancellations. I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. The full session fee is due when a session is canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice or in the case of a no-show, even in the case of illness or emergency. I save the time just for you and it's a loss for me if I can't fill the space.
What is Somatic Coaching?
Many people are learning about Somatic Work from the internet these days, which is AMAZING. Yet it’s common for folks to reach out saying they’ve heard of it, they’re feeling pulled toward it, but they don’t really know what it is other than maybe some tangible tools to help them calm down, heal, and release stress.
Understanding Somatics more deeply comes with actually embarking on the journey. That’s because somatics is about the felt sense of the body, the experience of the moment, and how we relate with ourselves and the environment/other beings around us, rather than the intellectual processing and conceptualizing that we are so familiar with in our society.
Our bodies store emotions and survival energy. Our bodies inform us of whether we are safe or not. Our bodies also have wisdom for us around what direction to head, what feels pleasurable, how to ground ourselves for whatever it is we choose to do, and so much more.
Some things we may do in our sessions together, to give you an idea:
Tracking sensations, emotions, and bracing/softening patterns in the body
Utilizing the breath, our 5 senses, movement, and awareness to regulate the nervous system
Feeling, regulating, and releasing emotions in real time together
Releasing trapped emotions and survival energy from previous life experiences
Noticing what is happening in your body around current challenges or triggers in your life
Relating with the rise and fall of nervous system activation and settling to get familiar with your window of tolerance (aka capacity) and be able to understand it and grow it
Connecting with your body to deepen your self-trust and embodied wisdom, get to know your physiological “yes” and “no”
Helping you understand the survival and management strategies your nervous system uses and ways to release, soothe, and work with them
Healing ancestral patterns that have been passed along your family line
Discerning societal conditioning from your truth and creating more space for you to be liberated and authentic in the world
Freeing up space in your nervous system to experience deeper connections with other people and the world around you
Relating with the natural ebbs and flows of growth/rest, healing, the seasons, nature, and being a human to create a more spacious way of being
Learning tangible tools that you can use between sessions
Along with somatics, I bring a lot of other areas of training and study together. I weave together Somatic Experiencing®, Mindfulness, Meditation, Coaching, Polyvagal Theory, Relational Somatic Work, Mind-Body Healing, Women’s Work, Embodiment, and Earth-Based Spirituality among other modalities to offer my support as a Somatic Coach.
I am also passionate about larger cultural issues and am always deepening into my own deconditioning and how to hold space for others around issues of decolonization, anti-racism, anti-oppressive work, patriarchal norms, and capitalism, among other big system issues and how we are all impacted. Happy to explore the way these systems and histories live in your nervous system and walk the path of collective liberation together.
As we develop somatic awareness and shared language together, we can explore many areas of your life and relationships through this lens to release challenging emotions, grow your capacity for life’s challenges and joys, and provide you with a framework to move forward with greater presence and ease.
